Getting Logged In
MyWhiskyVault is a user-profile-based application. We use user profiles to provide an unbreakable data boundary between all of our users' vaults. This means that in order to use the application, you will need to sign up. When you browse to browse to https://mywhiskyvault.com, you will see our landing page.
If you don't have an account with us yet, click on the "Signup for Free" button. That will take you to our signup screen:
On this screen, you will be able to select the plan you want to start with. We have three tiers of subscriptions tailored to individual needs. We suggest that you always start with the Neophyte (free) subscription plan.
Once you select the Free tier, you will be taken you the signup screen where you will decide what mechanism you want to use to log in. We will be supporting three login mechanisms:
"Magic" Email login. When you login using email, we will send you an email containing a one-time use link (in a button) to log you into the application.
Github. This is a "social" login, where you will use your account on Github to log into our application. Granted, not too many people have Github accounts, but the integration was easy, so we put it in.
Google. This is another, possibly the most popular social login. You will link your MWV account to your Google account to give you a one-click login. Unfortunately, as of this writing (May 2025) this is not working yet. It is a rather difficult integration, but we will persevere until we have it done.
This should get you logged in, where you will be taken immediately to your My Vault screen.
